Important to note: I don’t think this common misunderstanding of the meaning “harassment” makes the person holding to it the same as the person on the street doing the harassing. Many people simply don’t understand what one means when they speak of harassment, and it’s important that it’s explained to them from the point of view of the one being victimized so they can then empathize with something they have likely never experienced.
